I was invited to work with Aitken College and the Artist in Residence program. The completed project, which spanned over two years, was a 20 page risograph picture book about the school support dogs, Sadie and Otto.
In the initial workshops, we talked about perspective, background design and story boards.

140 students from Grade 3 and 4 produced amazing watercolour paintings of the school. I scanned over 240 pages of work to compile and collage into the final backgrounds. In another set of intensive workshops, a select group of students used Adobe Fresco and iPads to illustrate the dogs on their adventures. After Ashley from Helio Press printed the pages, I then bound the book with special pink spirals.

Aitken College had a book launch to celebrate this project being completed. There was a reading circle and dogs attended.
I would like to thank Linda Camilleri and the art department for their amazing support. I am in awe of the young artists effort, talent and determination to create something beautiful.

I respectfully acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which I live and work, specifically the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation.
I pay respect to their Elders, and to the history, legacy and contemporary cultures of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
